BESCHREIBUNG
CORI XT is Smith+Nephew's next-generation handheld robotics platform, designed to be a single handheld robot for all orthopaedic needs - partial to revision knee, and anatomic and reverse shoulder - with a compact, mobile footprint suited to both hospitals and ambulatory surgery centres. Following Smith+Nephew's 'Skill Amplified' approach, it gives robotic guidance and execution support while preserving surgeon control, tactile feedback and decision-making, and fits into existing operating-room set-ups and workflows without adding complexity. It integrates with CORIOGRAPH pre-operative planning and modelling services for patient-specific plans. With CORI SHOULDER it offers a complete robotic shoulder procedure, executing both humerus and glenoid with the handheld robot across anatomic and reverse cases. Smith+Nephew announced the first clinical cases on 8 June 2026: the first knee replacements at NYU Langone Health, and the first robotic shoulder arthroplasty cases at Duke Health (with the AETOS Shoulder System) and in an ambulatory surgery centre in Scottsdale, Arizona. It is part of the company's MTECH portfolio of musculoskeletal technologies.
