Skyler 5.3 is Caja Robotics' tall lift robot for goods-to-person order fulfilment. It reaches high storage locations - its forks lift to 5,250 mm at the bottom of the bin - to store, retrieve and replenish Eurobox bins on standard shelving, handling vertical warehouse optimisation while Caja's faster Cart robots handle horizontal transport; both move bins between shelves and picking workstations and behave as a swarm planned by Caja's cloud software. It has a 1,300 x 850 mm footprint, weighs 410 kg, travels at up to 1.5 m/s, runs up to 6 hours per charge and carries bins of up to 30 kg, operating from 4 to 40 C. The robots communicate wirelessly with the cloud back end, use sensors to locate themselves, identify bins and detect obstacles or faults, switch to on-board autonomy where that is better, and carry safety sensors and mechanisms; Caja says its systems are ISO and fire-regulation approved.
