Shihe HighMate X10 Dock Bottom Derusting Robot

The X10 is the odd one out in Shihe's range: not a wall climber but a large ground vehicle, built to work in the gap underneath a ship sitting on blocks in dry dock. That gap sets the design - the machine is specified for dock clearances of 1.4 to 1.9 m, and at 2,800 x 815 x 1,400 mm it is long and low rather than tall. It weighs 1.2 tonnes and carries up to 200 kg. Power is a range-extender arrangement: a generator of 4 kW/h or more alongside four hours of pure battery running, which suits a machine that cannot be trailing a mains cable around a flooded dock floor. It travels at 0 to 15 m/min with two-gear stepless speed control, and wades through standing water up to 100 mm deep. Cleaning is ultra-high-pressure water at up to 3,000 bar over a 475 mm single-pass width. It is remote controlled from up to 100 m and rated IP55. Shihe notes that the overall dimensions, the cleaning width and the dock height range can all be customised.
