BESCHREIBUNG
The M-ONE is PongBot's odd one out. Every other machine in its range fires balls from a barrel; the M-ONE is a robot arm that holds an actual table tennis bat and swings it, reproducing the way a coach serves rather than approximating the result. PongBot calls it the world's first humanoid serving robot. Because it strikes with a bat, the bat itself becomes a variable: rubbers can be swapped to change how the ball behaves, and the arm switches between topspin, backspin and no-spin by changing its stroke. Ball speed runs from 4 to 12 m/s with spin up to 80 revolutions per second, at 30 to 85 balls a minute, and it can place the ball anywhere on the table. It is a substantial machine: 963 x 925 x 1145 mm and 127 kg, running on mains power at 200 W, with a hopper holding up to 180 balls and an optional touchscreen. Settings are driven from a mobile app, and an optional trajectory-analysis system records where each ball lands, compares strokes against a reference and syncs the data to the cloud for review on any device.
