BESCHREIBUNG
The Pickle Unload Robot does the job warehouses struggle hardest to staff: emptying a floor-loaded trailer by hand, in summer heat and winter cold, where turnover routinely exceeds 100% a year. It is a six-axis KUKA arm on a mobile base, with on-board compute and integrated lighting, that works freight as it actually arrives — from neatly stacked walls to collapsed, messy loads. It drives itself dock to dock and advances deeper into the trailer on its own as the load recedes, so no one has to reposition it. Setup takes under five minutes and operation is one button. In production it sustains 400 to 1,500 cases per hour depending on the freight, handling packages from 6-inch cubes up to 24 x 24 x 32 inches and 50 lb, in any length of standard-height over-the-road trailer and in both standard and high-cube ocean containers. Pickle positions it on payback rather than novelty: up to 80% less unloading labour with minimal supervision, typical ROI inside 18 months, and fewer injuries from heavy repetitive lifting. Deployment is deliberately undemanding — in production in under five days, with no WMS integration required. The robot is driven by Pickle's Dill Autonomy Engine, a hybrid of classical optimal control, a generative-AI skills layer and targeted human input, which lets it start at useful performance and improve from production data.
FUNKTIONEN
