Lumion ist ein Agricultural-Robots von Octiva. Er ist für Landwirtschaft, Überwachung ausgelegt.

Lumion is Octiva's autonomous UV-C robot for greenhouse crop protection, built on the Xenion mobility platform. Driving the rows at night, it exposes strawberry, cucumber or tomato crops to ultraviolet-C light, which reduces disease development, disinfects and stimulates the plants' own defences - fighting mildew with one treatment every 48 to 72 hours and controlling up to 65% of spider mite populations, according to Octiva. Unlike spraying it leaves no residues, does not raise greenhouse humidity, does not harm biological control agents and cannot be resisted by mildew.\nConfigurations vary by crop: the basic strawberry unit has one height-adjustable set of lamps covering the row it drives in, with an optional side-shift arm that reaches into the next row or carries a double lamp set to treat two rows at once, while high-wire crops such as cucumbers use towers of three or four lamp sets. A maintenance-free lithium-ion battery with fast charging and active lamp monitoring keep it running, and treatments are started and monitored from a smartphone app and the Octiva Device Manager.
