The Lombrico SP is Gerotto's patented robot with an on-board screw pump that removes very thick sludge through an 80 mm (3-inch) pipe without needing a suction excavator or industrial vacuum truck. The pump moves up to 10 m3/h at up to 5 bar, and the whole system can run continuously for up to 24 hours. A front lever sweeps material toward the suction pipe in a 300-degree alternating cycle while water jets fluidise it and a blade keeps the pipe clear, and a flexible hose lets solid bodies pass. The compact robot fits through a 600 mm (24-inch) manhole, carries ATEX Zone 0 LED lights and an IP69K Zone 0 camera, and doses water through high-pressure nozzles to limit consumption.
