BESCHREIBUNG
FRIDAY is Holiday Robotics' first industrial humanoid, designed to take on repetitive, physically demanding work in manufacturing. It is a compliant, dexterous robot with a humanoid upper body on a wheeled mobile base, built to carry out reusable skills safely and reliably on the factory floor. It stands 176 cm tall and weighs 125 kg, with 64 degrees of freedom - 40 of them in its hands. Each arm weighs 5.5 kg, it handles a maximum payload of 20 kg, moves at up to 1.9 m/s and runs for about 4 hours, with hot-swappable batteries. Its ultra-lightweight hand weighs under 600 g and has 20 degrees of freedom with fully integrated tactile sensors sampling at 250 Hz, giving precise manipulation and high compliance - aimed at what Holiday calls the last ten centimetres, where parts have to meet exactly and touch matters more than vision. Safety features include an ISO 10218 compliant design, 360-degree obstacle detection and a hardware emergency stop. FRIDAY's skills are trained in Holiday's own stack: Holiday Sim for high-fidelity contact physics, Holiday World, a world-model simulator, and Holiday Lab, which turns real-world data into reusable skills, with OASys handling deployment in factories. Holiday Robotics, founded by CEO Song Ki-young - who previously started the industrial AI vision company Sua Lab in 2013 - raised a 155 billion won Series A in July 2026, reported as the largest domestic Series A for a Korean startup. The company said it was preparing to mass-produce FRIDAY with the aim of commercialising it in the second half of 2026, planning a production system of 100 units a year, and describes FRIDAY as designed to work alongside people in repetitive manufacturing work at a price that makes real industrial deployment viable.
