Wheel-Legged Inspection Robot

BESCHREIBUNG

This is the wheel-legged quadruped at the centre of CETC's Full-Area Security Inspection Solution — a 33 kg machine with wheels at the end of articulated legs, which is what lets it both cover ground efficiently and climb over what a wheeled robot would have to go around. Its mobility figures are the striking part: a 45-degree maximum climbing slope, 25 cm of continuous obstacle clearance, and a maximum single step height of 80 cm, which is more than its own standing height of 57 cm. It carries 15 kg as an effective load with a 50 kg maximum, is sealed to IP66, and works from -20 to 55 degrees Celsius. Sensing is deliberately heavy for the size — three 16-line LiDARs and wide-angle cameras covering 360 by 90 degrees, feeding three octa-core industrial processors. CETC sells it as a solution rather than a unit: smart scheduling by cycle and priority, 3D path planning with real-time monitoring, and automatic task triggering from third-party alarm systems. The company's pitch is that training on tens of millions of field data samples moves such robots from 'just seeing' to 'understanding anomalies', and hot-swappable batteries keep a site covered around the clock. It is aimed at substations and industrial parks, sunken pipe inspection, forest exploration and fire rescue.
