AVATAAR (Amphibious Vehicle for Autonomous Tactical Aerial and Aquatic Reconnaissance) is a surveillance-class amphibious drone from AquaAirX that works both in the air and underwater. It is designed to fly out to an area of interest and then operate underwater, so one vehicle can cover aerial and subsea reconnaissance. The maker's renders show a blue blended-wing airframe with vertical fins and propellers. For underwater work it carries a multibeam imaging sonar, an acoustic communication modem, a Doppler velocity log, USBL navigation and LED lights. AquaAirX publishes no numeric specifications; a spec sheet is available on request.
