Arsii is a humanoid robot with a realistic female face built by NeoGenTech in Patna, Bihar. Its name stands for Autonomous Robotic System with Integrated Intelligence. The robot has a life-size upper body dressed in a suit, a silicone-style face that shows facial expressions, and articulated hands that gesture and can hold objects such as a microphone. NeoGenTech states 38 degrees of freedom for human-like movement. Arsii recognises faces and emotions through computer vision and voice analysis, answers questions in real time and speaks several languages; press reports name English, Hindi, Bhojpuri, Maithili, Kannada, Marathi and Japanese. A 1080p camera is used for crowd interaction, it can run in remote or autonomous modes, and it is powered from the mains or by a battery that the maker says lasts six hours. The company pitches Arsii for classroom STEM demonstrations, hotel and exhibition reception, and as a centrepiece at expos and launches. It has been shown at events in Patna, including at the Chandragupt Institute of Management, where NeoGenTech is incubated; no paying deployments have been published.
