BESCHREIBUNG
Veloce is Addverb Technologies' multi-carton picking robot. It handles multi-level storage and retrieval of cartons, crates and cases without additional storage infrastructure - it reaches up to four metres on its own rather than needing a shuttle system built into the racking, which is what makes it a retrofit option for a warehouse that already has conventional shelving. It carries 240 kg at up to 1.5 m/s and navigates a grid using ground markers, docking to within plus or minus 10 mm. Charging takes up to 15 minutes for up to three hours of running - an opportunity-charging pattern, so the robot tops up between tasks instead of being taken out of service. Its main use is goods-to-person picking: the robot brings cartons and totes to a picking station rather than sending a person into the aisles, and the vertical reach is what raises storage density in an existing building. Obstacle detection is by 2D lidars, it runs automatically or manually, it is CE certified, and it is rated from +5 to +45 C.
