ABB further extends its mid-range robot family with the introduction of the new IRB 2600 range of robots. The IRB 2600 family contains 3 models with long reach and 12 to 20 kg handling capacity, all of which are designed to increase productivity in machine tending, material handling, arc welding and other process applications. These new robots are light, fast, accurate and compact and have many mounting possibilities, including floor, ceiling, shelf, wall & tilted. This ensures that cells can be designed to optimize valuable manufacturing floor space. The reduced arm weight, combined with ABB's patented second generation QuickMove & TrueMove motion control software, ensures very fast & accurate movements and results in cycle times being reduced by up to 25%.
