The TM5-900 is the longer-reach member of the TM5 pair in Techman Robot's TM AI Cobot Series: a six-axis collaborative robot with a 946 mm reach and a 4 kg rated payload, weighing 22 kg. It covers a wider working envelope than the TM5-700 at the cost of two kilograms of payload, on the same 22 kg arm. Like the rest of the range it carries a built-in vision system, so the robot can see its workspace directly - locating parts, guiding assembly and performing inspection without a separate vision controller. It is designed for shared workspaces: collision detection through inherent safety sensors, an emergency stop, and configurable speed limits for the particular collaborative setting. Techman states compliance with ISO 10218-1:2011 and ISO/TS 15066:2016, and the arm is rated IP54. Programming is through TMflow, Techman's graphical flowchart environment. Techman lists material handling, assembly, inspection, machine tending, finishing and dispensing as its core applications. Techman names electronics, automotive and food manufacturing as the primary industries for this model.
