OrionStar CarryBot is an autonomous mobile robot for discrete manufacturing, warehousing, logistics and fulfilment centres - the company's industrial line rather than its customer-facing service robots. It comes in three configurations that share a 600 x 525 x 1377 mm body: CarryBot 1 at 48 kg, CarryBot 2 at 58 kg with a tray rack taking 30 kg per tray, and CarryBot 3 at 60 kg, which is the 48 kg robot plus a 12 kg detachable shelf measuring 405 x 825 x 937 mm. All three carry up to 150 kg. Navigation combines lidar, three depth cameras and OrionStar's V-SLAM 2.0, which the company rates at 1 cm positioning accuracy - the figure that matters when a robot has to present a shelf to a workstation repeatedly. It needs 65 cm of clearance, crosses 10 mm thresholds and 30 mm floor grooves, and travels at 0.5 to 1.0 m/s. A charge lasts 12 hours carrying a 100 kg load and takes 4.5 hours to replace. A 14-inch 1080 full-HD screen handles operator interaction, and fleets coordinate with each other. OrionStar claims deployment in as little as a day, publishes more than 500 free APIs for integration, and lists five security protection measures. Typical duties are component distribution, materials delivery, waste recycling, finished-goods transport and carrying items for quality inspection, run as point-to-point or multi-point delivery or on smart summon.
