The ASYSTR 3C is the smallest model in Systemantics' ASYSTR family of six-axis collaborative robot arms, which the company describes as the first cobots completely designed and manufactured in India. It lifts 3 kg, reaches 600 mm and repeats to within 0.1 mm. The arm is built to the ISO 10218-1 collaborative standard so it can share a workspace with people without a safety fence. It is light and portable, which lets users move it between jobs or mount it on mobile platforms. Operators teach and run cycles through a graphical app on an Android tablet. The controller is Linux-based and ROS 2 compatible, and extra digital inputs and outputs allow new sensors to be added. Systemantics sells it for CNC machine tending, handling, inspection, dispensing and palletising on Indian shop floors, and offers it to universities as an open platform for research and a ready-made cobot training cell.
