The Yale Relay MO150TR is an automated tow tractor, or autonomous tugger, for repetitive indoor point-to-point transport such as milk runs, line-side parts sequencing, stock replenishment, inventory hauling and waste or raw-material runs. It launched the Yale Relay platform and portal at ProMat 2025 and can still be driven manually when needed. It navigates by SLAM with a 2D LiDAR. Low-level sensors and a 3D camera detect obstructions and it slows and stops until the path clears, while a second 3D camera checks for an operator before it moves on its own. Routes are taught by driving the site once and dropping waypoints in the Relay portal. It returns to a station for automated wireless charging, and an optional automatic hitch connects and releases carts between tows. Multipurpose, ball and auto-hitch connectors work with flatbed, pallet, mother-daughter, shelf and purpose-built carts. Yale's spec sheet rates it for 15,000 lb (6,800 kg) of towed load at up to 4.5 mph (2 m/s). It weighs 2,895 lb (1,313 kg), measures 64 x 42.7 x 93.7 in (1,617 x 1,085 x 2,379 mm) and runs at 24 V on a 525 Ah lithium-ion battery with auto-charge or a 600 Ah lead-acid battery. It meets ISO 3691-4 and ANSI B56.5.
