UUR (Unmanned Underwater Robotic platform) is a modular autonomous underwater robot from Andromeida Maritime Solutions. It is built around an open-architecture frame that lets operators swap cameras, sonar and other sensor payloads without re-engineering the chassis, through a single mount that supplies power, data and communications. The robot can run pre-programmed waypoint missions and avoids obstacles in real time, adjusting its route mid-mission. An onboard edge computer rated at 87 TOPS processes sonar and video on the vehicle itself, for tasks such as species identification and anomaly flagging, without a link to the surface. The pictured vehicle uses a transparent pressure hull inside an octagonal metal frame with multiple thrusters. Andromeida pitches UUR for subsea reconnaissance, mine countermeasures and hull inspection, offshore oil and gas inspection of pipelines, risers and jackets to 300 m, port and quay-wall surveys, dam, bridge-pier and penstock inspection, and marine research such as habitat mapping and coral monitoring. Variants listed on the site include UUR Acad for education and UUR Survey for marine research.
