描述

Mobile Gripper was Tokyo Robotics' answer to short-distance heavy transport and palletising: a mobile robot with an arm that clamps a box from both sides rather than lifting it from underneath or gripping the rim. Clamping from the sides is what lets it handle open-topped plastic containers — the crates used throughout factories and distribution centres, which a suction cup cannot pick and a fork cannot always reach. The robot moves the crate a short distance and stacks or unstacks it. It is listed among the maker's legacy products.
