Shinbao No. 7 is Shin Kong Security's 2014 traffic-safety robot for schools. Seeing that parents act as crossing guards who stop traffic so children can cross the road - and that braking failures, wrong signals or sudden events can still endanger them - SKS built a robot crossing guard. Its design is built around the idea of a hand: instead of being only a mobile platform, it carries a robotic arm that gives it more mobility and body language for directing traffic.
