ROBO Pullca is NKC's driverless tow tractor: it pulls trains of the customer's existing carts carrying up to 3,000 kg in total, including the carts, around factory premises. Routes are set on a PC with mapping navigation, so no guide wires or magnetic rods are laid and route changes need no floor work. A person can also ride it and switch to manual driving without a forklift licence, so sites can mix automatic and manual runs. NKC pitches it as labour saving rather than full automation, for example letting forklifts concentrate on loading while the Pullca handles the long hauls. It measures 1,670 x 900 x 1,940 mm, weighs about 705 kg, reaches 5 km/h, turns in a 1,700 mm radius and stops to about +/-25 mm, with front-wheel steering and rear-wheel drive. Safety equipment includes obstacle sensors, a bumper switch, a step-detection sensor, emergency stop, indicators, headlights and a warning buzzer. A 48 V / 120 Ah lead-acid battery runs about 2.5 hours and charges in about 8-10 hours.
