Nomad Explorer is a medium-size four-wheel-drive unmanned ground vehicle from AutoMind Dynamics, built for long-range missions that carry heavy sensor payloads over rough terrain. It is the mid-size model in the company's UGV line, between the compact GEFIER R1 research rover and the larger Grizzly UGV that is still in development. The vehicle uses hybrid-electric power to extend its operating range and a suspension designed for fast all-terrain driving. AutoMind lists a 50 kg payload, a top speed of 8 km/h, 4 to 12 hours of runtime depending on configuration and a 4x4 drivetrain. It is intended to run the company's TraX autonomy stack, which is built for off-road navigation in GPS-denied environments using camera, LiDAR, radar and inertial sensing. AutoMind markets its ground vehicles for defence, homeland security, logistics, mining and exploration. No spec sheet is published for the Nomad Explorer and it is offered on a request-for-quote basis.
