SVAN M2 is xTerra Robotics' commercial quadruped, which the company calls India's first commercial quadruped robot. Compact at 41 x 40 x 41 cm and 11 kg, it walks omnidirectionally at up to 1 m/s on twelve of xTerra's QDD A2 actuators, climbs stairs and slopes, and carries about 5 kg. A 240 Wh lithium-polymer battery powers it for close to an hour, and a Raspberry Pi 4B running ROS handles control, with joystick operation over 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi. It can carry a LiDAR, a PTZ camera or xTerra's COBOT C1 arm for inspection in hazardous areas, security patrols, infrastructure monitoring, surveying and research, and has been delivered to Indian institutes and industrial users.
