SOVI-Greet is a wheeled semi-humanoid reception robot from Mensch Robotics for lobbies, offices, banks, hotels, clinics, museums and airports. It is designed to work alongside front-desk staff, welcoming visitors, answering their questions and checking them in. The robot is voice-first: visitors talk to it in one of several languages, and it answers questions about directions, departments, timings, services, staff availability and events from an organisation's own knowledge base, with optional live web search. For check-in, a visitor gives their name, the person they are meeting and the purpose of the visit, and the robot records the details and informs the right person. It recognises returning visitors, gestures with its arms and shows promotions on its chest screen. SOVI-Greet stands 5 ft (1.5 m) tall, weighs 50 kg and is quoted with a 12-hour battery. It has three degrees of freedom per arm, a rotating head with expressive LED eyes, an integrated camera, microphone and speakers, and an interactive touch display. It navigates on its own with obstacle avoidance, guiding visitors to their destination, or can be driven manually from an Android app over Bluetooth.
