1ROLLO is Rollo Robotics' autonomous security robot - a ground platform that balances and drives on a single 60 cm wheel, which the company calls the world's first commercial autonomous one-wheeled security robot. It is built to replace routine security patrols at industrial sites, logistics hubs, ports and commercial properties, patrolling perimeters and indoor areas around the clock at what Rollo says is a tenth of the cost of human guards. The robot stands 110 cm tall, weighs 45 kg and can reach 30 km/h, with up to 8 hours of battery life and autonomous wireless charging for 24/7 operation. It is IP65-rated and works from -20 to +55 C. A 360-degree vision system and edge AI let it navigate obstacles, collect data and analyse its surroundings in real time, detecting anomalies and sending alerts; RTK/GNSS gives precise positioning, and it connects over 4G/5G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, with an integrated microphone and speaker. Its proprietary hardware and software method for stable autonomous motion on one wheel is patent pending. The platform accepts mission-specific payloads - thermal, PTZ and night-vision cameras, RFID/transponder readers and custom sensors - and a cloud fleet-management platform defines patrol routes and monitors multiple robots. Rollo lists availability from 2027.
